the new Xbox is anticipated to reach stores in Jan. of 2005, the launch titles of the new system have yet to be revealed, however, all aspects of the game are said to have been increased dramatically and will lead the way for the new wave of systems. It will open the gap for at least a year of when the PS3 will be released and the Gamecube will no doubt take its time, being released after that, if anyone has any info on this topic or any new titles coming out or wanting to be seen on the new system feel free to spread the word.

Do you know if it is going to be called Xbox 2 or something else? I heard that they werent going to call it the xbox 2.

You've got no chance mate! Add another year onto that and you'll come to a closer date!
Xbox 2's codename is Xenon i heard, but apart from that NOTHING else has been said - all consoles will come out at the earliest in 2006, and thats Japan. Here in the UK i reckon we'll be lucky for a 2007 release date!

Not true! It was said that Bill Gates (richest man on the planet and owner of microsoft) was going to put XBox 2 or Xenon on the market by the next year at the very earliest. If the date is off by even 4 months or so I would not be suprised but his standing was said to be very confinent in the development of his new system and would be taking the lead in the gaming systems releases. I'll try to find wat proof i can of my theory as this is very puzzleing to me and if you could find somthing to back ur theory maybe we could bring an end to this misconception. I'm off!

. Not sure ^_~. Anyways, I don't think it'll come out in 2005. It'd be running parallel to the Xbox which isn't that old just yet, but its getting there. I think maybe mid 2005 earliest

I thought the xbox wud be a 2005 release to cash in on probally the last holiday season before there is competition. It being a us made console we dont have to wait as long for the console to come out as the japanese ones do to come over here.

Ive heard the same as Lee tbh. Xbox 2 being called Xenon and a 2006/07 release. The only console that I know hitting UK shelves in '05 is the DS.
And Halo 2 being leaked isnt really that funny btw.
