Oh hell yeah.
i lost a little interest in metal when i was doing end of the line by devildriver on drums (yes i CAN do it even though i'm a guitarist) and i tore the muscles all down my legs, took 2 years to sort that out hence no more drumming and slightly less metal on my music but only slightly!
Sheesh. I play guitar for my band, too, and we're currently doing pubs and clubs and the like. Mostly metal music, but we also do a little melodic, screamo, and emo.

with my band we just finished our pub-tour for children in need. and we play --- Dig by mudvayne then deathblooms by mudvayne then holy diver by dio then lay down by priestess then (lol) we sleep forever by aiden then we finish with the bleeding by FFDP just because it a lot to me seein as i played to my girlfriend when she left me just to stikc two fingers up into her face \/,, then for an encore if we need one we do in the arms of perditon by despied icon ( i do the drums for that one just to get my legs going again! but please do not tell my doctor or he will flip! anyway i'm now listening to Zepplin Forever by Michael Angelo Batio
Haha, nice. My fiancée sings for us sometimes, so when she comes along we tend to play a reasonably large amount of Lacuna Coil and Nightwish, along with a few songs I write, mostly out of boredom.
