Ouch. I disagree. Maybe current rap yes... Alot of it is terrible. But look to real rap... where it started. Hence, yes, Run DMC and Public Enemy (my two favorite examples for this argument). They wrote about things current in society. things they viewed that needed changed. things they thought was wrong. Or things they thought were right. "These girls are really sleezy, all they just say is please me," "We are not thugs, we dont use drugs, but you are soon on your own. they offer coke and lots of dope, but we just leave it alone."

I think that has some say in it. Go listen to some of their stuff. It will change your opinion about rap. GanGSTA rap is another story.
