Well obviously it will be on the next console. If anyone's played episode 2 online before you'll noticed with 3 people it lagged. If there's more than 4 people allowed in a game and with PSOU's awesome graphics it would lag like hell. It WILL be on the next console.
I have heard rumors that it may actually be leaning towards the PS2. Sega hasnt given any notice as to what system the game will be coming out for as far as I know, but I heard from alot of game magazines that it may possibly be leanin towards PS2 and may utilize the hard drive if lag is a problem.
I hope this game will be for All three Systems, Offline, Muti-Player (Split-Screen), And if you can use ur Current HL to access the Online Part of it (if there is an Online Part). I think(if it was on all three systems-Current-Or Next Gen)That you should be able to play with other people on the Other three Systems, then that means, My Brother And I could play at the Sametime, on 2 different Systems =D
But, as ivan said, it would need aqlot of power to play the game without lagging like a bastard, the most logical system for it to be on would be either the PS2, or the Xbox, and we all know sega wont choose that oversized door stop, sales for it have bombed to crap.

But, I think they will, GC is where they get most of there $$ =D
Theyre definitely not putting it on the fagbox, because theyre obviously smart enough to know that system has completely bombed, so i would say it being on that system is out right.

If they put it on xbox, I don't mind ^_^ (since I own one of those too) but if they make it "you need xbox live to play offline" (if its not a mmorpg) then I'll be sad
