  Went to the Dentist today
Posted by: Starman - 01-04-2006, 01:50 PM - Forum: Lobby - Replies (12)

Cost me £75 - thats on NHS. I still say treatment should be free. Only cosmetic work should you have to pay for.

£15 Checkup £10 for two small x-rays £20 for an 'OPS' (Full face X-ray) and £30 for a cleaning.

Also found out I need at least one filling which is going to cost £50 due to it being a white one. Finally the good news I need to goto hospital for a horizontal impacted wisdom tooth removal. What a great day Sad

Well, I was wondering whether people on this site actually RPed any or not. I just got to opening up my RP site, recently, and we've been aching for members. It's in my signature, have a look, and if you're intrigued, feel free to join and whatnot. It'd be great to have some more people.

Funniest moments in your Rangers life.

I'd have to say my funniest is when I was doing that quest where I was in search of one of the twins that had gone missing... I was in Cave 1 and two hunters were on the other side of the door: A Ranger and a Hunter... I was freakin' out because I was on Hard and last time I had the most difficult time defeating them so I was all Souped up with spellls and ready to get my ass kicked. I pull out my Verista +6 and I shoot her three times (making her fall over) and she says: "Ouch!" I thought that was funny.

For those of you who don't know yet, PSOBB US/EU is getting a fully revamped drop chart for Episode 4.

Since we do not know all the drops yet, nor do we know their rates, Tycho, Teitan and I made a forum for the sole purpose of researching this.

The more people help us, the more accurate the charts will be, so... help us?

The forums: http://psobb.forumwise.com/

Expect a finished drop chart at Ragol.co.uk some time in the next week, I'm working on it.

  Metroid Prime: Hunters
Posted by: Orphen - 30-03-2006, 02:49 AM - Forum: Gaming - Replies (69)

Now there is a very apparent reason that this game was delayed almost a year for its release. Currently, it's been the first game to utilize the Nintendo DS graphics to quite some impressive heights, showing us that the DS may potentially have even better graphics than the N64, even.

Regardless, does anyone else have this game? It's an absolute buy. Being the first FPS for the DS, this game also utilizes the Wi-fi function, which was also a fine reason for the delay. This is definitely not lax wi-fi either, like previous games. Metroid Prime: Hunters has a very complex and very enjoyable wi-fi system. With multiple rules to choose from, finding opponents is much like mariokart, with the exception that you can actually exchange friend codes. Indeed, like popular word, the Wi-fi aspect of the game actually leads me to enjoy it. Personally, I never liked Metroid. I thought it was simply a very feeble attempt to try to outshine Megaman, which of course, never happened, even now.

Online, or in versus mode, players have the ability to choose from 8 different Hunters, Samus included. Between each of these characters, each has a different set of abilities and weakness/strength. Each hunter represents a certain element, Samus being the "Mario" of them. This adds a fun twist to multiplayer and to wi-fi.

Well, I don't really know what I can say, else. Does anyone have this game? We can elaborate more for those who are seeking to buy it.

You Know You've Played Too Much PSO When...
Posted by: SilentShadow13 - 29-03-2006, 11:27 PM - Forum: Sandbox - Replies (29)

Ok, just think up an entertaining thing that might happen when you play too much PSO an dtype it out here, these can get pretty good, so be creative!

You know You've played too much PSO when...

...The graphics start to look good.
...You hit someone with a stick and are surprized that it did not go through them.
...you mention a PSO monster in the middle of class and think everyone knows what you are talking about.
...you make models of your characters in art class.
...you pretend you have a mag in "Real Life."
...you make a model of a dragon slayer in art class. (that would be cool...)
...you wear pom-poms all over your clothes and "cast" shifta and deband as you walk down the steet.

I bet that you guys can think up some better ones.

  PSU Coming to 360?
Posted by: Starman - 29-03-2006, 06:47 PM - Forum: Submit News - Replies (3)

SPOnG.com is reporting on the possible release of PSU on the Xbox 360.

Quote:Microsoft's Xbox wing in Japan today invited many media outlets, including SPOnG, to a major briefing dated for April 6th next week, with those close to proceedings hinting that some major announcements are planned. Indeed, those close to planning have openly mooted Phantasy Star Universe from Sega and a new Tales of title from Namco will headline the event.

Microsoft has suffered terribly in the Japanese market, with consumers again rejecting Microsoft's courtship dance, seeing its revised offering go unsold. The situation has been compounded by the fact that the Xbox 360 was in part designed to appeal to a consumer base renowned as being the most discerning on the planet. Indeed, Microsoft openly touted its refreshed credibility in the Japanese market prior to launching its hardware and in fairness it had covered every base except the inherent xenophobia of its target market.

As to what else Microsoft may show is up in the air, though a new Square Enix exclusive has been mentioned in some circles, as have various Sega arcade conversions including Virtua Fighter and Afterburner. Other titles mooted include Konami's Winning Eleven as well as various Xbox Live Arcade titles...

Whatever happens, it's going to be big, and attractive to our Japanese gaming friends. As to whether they'll buy an Xbox 360 to play what is offered is anyone's guess.
