Pfeh. I think that's more possible with DK.

Lightning Melee is the only Melee I play, surprisingly enough. Well, unless I'm playing with a few friends, because I like getting statistics under my name. It's absolutely great practice, and it definitely works on your reflexes, once you go back to normal, it almost feels like you're playing slow-mo once you get used to it.

Lightning Melee helped me with the NYC SSBM tourney.
How'd you do?
You know, if I repeat it so much I'm going to start feeling like I'm bragging. I won.
Nice. How many people were entered? And if you won... does that mean that you're one of the best in the nation?
...The best in New York, at least.

Alot of people entered the tournament. They did it in sets of about 50 I believe. Kinda sucked that you got a random match time, and then when you won you needed to wait for the winners of all of the other 50-participiant matches.
After that, about 16-20 or so winners of the preliminary matches had 4 player matches, and from there it just kept going until it ended with a 1 vs 1 match. I got some...interesting stuff for winning.

most likely easily top 100, seeing as the other big states such as cali and Illiniois etc, probably have some better players than orphen, seeing as everyone and there mom owns the game. ( i lost my copy DSmile

i heard Lars Steltzig is really really good, anyone heard of him? I know him because he is #2 worldwide (recorded) at MK...
I'm nowhere near that good at MK, although I am easily above average, even now that it's been like, half a year since I even touched the game.

I would love to get better at SSBM, I practice at it almost daily, even now, and I must say that my final opponent that day was alot easier than I had ever anticipated. I went into that battle feeling as if I would lose. I want to play against better opponents, more so than that, I want to play SSBM against that guy who was on G4...he seems to be just about my skill level, maybe higher.
I wish i could get good at Smash Brothers.
