Either you're a PRO at Jiggly, or the computers couldn't bring themselves to hit such a cute liitle puffball.
jigglypuff is very good.
I had the charts on another board from a PRO at Super Smash Bros. Melee (Lars steltzig, one of the best in the world at mario kart and super smash) and he told me that jigglypuff is actually very good. I can't find the charts now because i was banned for bumping like 30 3-year old topics today. (lol, i was owned D
but i remember the charts were something like (from what i remember):
Top Characters:
Marth
Fox
Captain Falcon
High-tier characters:
Kirby (i think)
roy (i think)
Jigglypuff
Gannondorf
Pickachu
Middle Characters:
Link
Mario
Luigi
DK
(others)
Lower Characters:
Bowser
Young link ( i was suprised at this one)
Mewtwo
Bottom:
Pichu
i'm missing alot of characters i noticed, but that's what i remember.
Hm...I can see how many of them makes sense, but it's still strange to see "Jiggleypuff" ranked same as the "Great Lord of Darkness Ganondorf".
I'd like to see a pro play as Jiggly, I really would, no sarcasm. Just can't imagine it...
For a while there, I really wanted to get good with Jigglypuff and I can see why Jiggly would still be one of the better characters, however Marth is and always will be #1 for me.
In case anyone forgot, my faves are all the Zelda characters, excluding Young Link (he's still cool, though

).
Marth is my all time favorite! next is Zelda, and then Link. they're just all so much fun for me! I think I'm the best with Marth though, and, well...he's my favorite!
I messed up the chart... it went more something like (i could still be wrong in a couple spots though >_>)
Best of teh best of teh best, SIR:
Marth
Fox
Captain falcon (basically speed>power i guess...)
Shiek (not zelda, SHIEK T_T)
High-tier:
Samus
Kirby (cheap-o)
Falco
Roy ( i might be wrong, but he for sure wasn't top)
Pickachu
Dr. Mario
Ganondorf
Regular:
Mario
Luigi
Link
Ice Climbers
Peach
Jigglypuff
Lower:
Bowser
DK
Mr. Game and watch
Mewtwo
Young Link ( i disagree, though)
Lastest:
Pichu (i'm for sure this was the one and only one)
I still am missing alot... but i'm sure it's not hard to just guess.
That makes perfect sense. In my experience the faster the character, the better they generally are if you take experience, reaction time, and other things and null them. The faster character will come out on top purely because of the fact that they can walk circles around the slower characters like Ganon. Of course, it all depends on who's playing it and how fast their reactions are and how good their timing is on attacks.
What's wrong with Young Link, after getting used to fighting with him against his older counterpart, one of the event battles. I've got to give him some credit.
Yes, I know, I know, I like him too, but I can beat him pretty easy with any of my mains. Also, my main test for my mains is to beat Very Hard with no continues, 3 lives, and I've only managed it once with young Link, and even that was a fluke.
There is something weird about Young Link. He seems to be a broken character. While he is indeed faster than Link, his attacks do ALOT less damage and pack less punch. When it comes to his special attacks, they're still as fast (Or slow) as Link's, so not much is really improved on speed there. In a Melee, Young Link's KO's would probably be taken away from him before he even really gets the chance to land an efficient KO blow.
However, I think Jigglypuff and Young Link should have a switch in place. Jigglypuff does not have very many strong attacks, and the few that she does has require her to be at a dangerously close range, especially for a character with an incredibly high recoil ratio. Just about any character can total Jigglypuff before she even gets remotely close to do much damage.
As usual, Marth is my main, and I alternate between Pikachu, Link, and Sheik. I've stopped using Roy as of about a month ago. His potential block screws me over way too much, and his lack of aerial recovery time puts me in way too many close calls.
