Hmm, I got a FSOD once... I lost 2 S-Ranks that somone gave me, no idea if they were dupes.
Is there any way to make a backup of GC memory cards? biuld some kind of adaper cabable of plugging into a computer via a serial port or something? You would not need to understand the raw data on the computer, just make it so you can save it agan and it's readable by a normal GC?
any thoughts? I think somone made an adaper capable of reading old GB carts to a PC.. But ether I did not bookmark it. Or I did and I have a 0.0003% chance of finding it in my mess of a bookmarks folder >.<
to prevent fsod try to never have any items in your inventory unless you need them.

If you had ever been through C-Mode, you would know that people are never that kind. Try playing PSOBB for a bit and notice the difference. They were dupes/hacks for sure
i've never played online cause i don't really want to because it's pal's game i'm borrowing but he doesn't wanna play online either i've heard of BSOd is it realated and FSOD (frozen screen of death ) and BSOD (black screen of death) what happenings with BSOD ? does your screen just go black ? and you can't move or stuff ?
Is there anyway from happening? The classic way was to remove your memory card just incase they start messng up your data, but its going to be difficult try to avoid it on the PC while playing pso bb.
FSOD: it freezes your screen completely and sometimes they try mess up your data too while they at it.
And sometimes they restart your console( i think) and sometimes they mess up your data with reliseing and change your level and character image.
Its common hacking but its best advice just avoid it by going to another lobby.
Yes , very serious topic we're discussing in this thread FSOD can be very dangerous my pal lost his character that had 2 lavis cannons , 3 god hands ,
around 8 red saber's I think but luckily we (as in me and his pals) spilt it between us so we all had something to stop everything from disappearing we all had 1 of each others things mmostly rare stuff it worked not bad for me

Or even a better way. THis is my method( or probaly anyone know this) put all your items in your bank before exiting into the lobby. Its better that way so that you can keep your items safe even if your character data is messed up.
Its a classic way but its better than lossing all your items a equip. And you can requip them when entering the game but it may be annoying every time but its better to be safe than sorry.

BSOD is usually set off through a NOL command. It will make your screen blink between the lobby and a black screen before freezing. It's usually done with a lobby reload to corrupt players, but it's flat out more effective when it comes to freezing another persons game. When it happens, your screen turns black and you must turn your gamecube off, it's like FSOD but there's a higher chance of corruption.
And there's also another 'BSOD' that is caused by a game glitch and not by hackers at all.
If you are changing from one area of P2 to another and the music changes and the disc isnt in good condition (or if you enter a telepipe/porter) then the screen can go black and freeze up, but the music/effect will still play correctly. To fix this, open and close your GCs lid and hazaa problemsolved. That form can happen offline, in fact it has happened to me 3 times offline and only once online although i'm sure thats just coincidence. The problem with it online is that you lose game sync with other players and DC, no biggie, though...

ewwww FSOD xD I have had it happen to me once online. Lost my Chain Sawd from it, booo....Ah well, at least if it ever happens again to me, I can try these methods you guys have talked about ^-^
