The double save feature was removed on Ep1&2 for a short period, but ST in their wisdom decided to put it back on soon after.

I would advise against blindly following what some sites/people tell you, as checking these things out for yourself is the safest way to ensure you know what you are talking about.

know what im talking about? who do you think i am the answer man? lol, jk. I do check stuff out but really i should have checked the double save think, now i have and i see its back in... Oh wisdomful sonic team what blindingly brilliant logic you posess! you could finally be bothered to solve the glitch but then, then you put in extra effort to put the glitch back in, just to spite the players? Wha whaaa--?

The double save feature isn't actually a glitch, as ST put it there to stop a method of duping that was discovered early in this version's life.
We assumed they removed it because they knew of the much easier duping method and saw the high corruption rate caused by the double save, but I guess they just decided they wanted to be ebil

I guess, maybe they thought that it would stop duping. But as duping is like part of what you seemingly pay for in the game now I'm sure most ppl would much rather get rid of the corruption

Duping isn't hacking....it's cheating. It's exploiting a certain glitch left in the game by sega. And there are very few real hackers in PSO, most of them are either common cheaters, or AR newbies.

I've always wondered why sega even bothered with the double save feature. It never actually helped to stop duping. =?

It was preventing the only duping method that they knew of at the time of the US/EU releases.

I believe that when ST removed the double save feature, they found another problem, so rather than trying to fix that also, they just re-activated it.

They should have fixed whatever it was, I mean when they took the double save off for a while i didnt notice any difference at all (in a good way)! It also dosent help ST's lazy reputation.

corruption then is a brute fact in PSO that many will simply have to learn to accept
