If I were to be harsh to him, then I would simply have flamed him and not even bothered to give advice on how to avoid making duplicate posts of things that were discussed a long time ago. It is by taking note of such advice that people become more useful in communities such as this one.

Such theories are as old as hacked items themselves and have yet to be proved by even the most uber legits, who often spread such rumours/theories to make hackers seem more evil.

With regards to the drop rate you have seen:
Yes, the drop rate is there. No, the drop rate is not activated.
The red ring and olga flow dna will never drop. I think even heyf00l mentions this now on his drop chart pages, which are the most commonly used.
The "experienced" players/hackers obviously are not so, or they would have told you that the code dictates that the drop is not yet activated, so the drop rate given is inaccurate at this moment in time.

Your method is slightly different, but is also much more difficult to understand.

It sounds to me like you don't fully understand the different FSODs that can occur and when they do? If this is the case, then I would be happy to tell you about them via pm's/messenger.

I have re-read your post and my original one still stands. Both refuted theories are incorrect and your "method" is a confused version of the original.

Forgive my tone if I seemed harsh, but I think it is better to post the truth rather than dress it up and make my points any longer and thus, harder to understand.

point about drop chances taken.

however i feel my method is not cofusing at all, maybe it is more difficult and more time consuming than the original method, but it does work better. It has helped me many times before, it is not a confused but different and slightly extended version. Its your items that will pay the price if you do not follow through with the whole procedure. If you want to lose items becaue its easier then i guess thats up to you.

i know about the different types of FSOD (and BSOD FSOD - X etc.) but thanks anyway. If i did not understand about FSOD after having it so many tims i would not post on it.

It isn't just random as to whether the unequipped items and meseta are lost after all.

I have had cases both where un equipped items have and havent been lost. it may not be random weather items are or are not lost, i never said it was, but it may depend on certain circumstances that have not yet been uncovered.

If you FSOD when you connect and enter a lobby for the first time, then all you lose is meseta.
If you FSOD at any other point after joining a game, then you lose all unequipped items and meseta.
If you FSOD during a save or in between them, then you have a chance of corrupting or causing the "reset mat usage trick", that wipes your items/ranks/stat boosting items used/tech levels and leaves you with only the default equipment, but retains your level. These two can also occur from various other faults.

Thanks for that Omar, but when you say in between saves, isnt any point in an online game where youre not currently saving in between one various save and another? I'm sure you dont mean that though, or every form of FSOD would give a chance of corruption, which i just cant believe!

Heh, I could have explained that a little better. By between saves, I mean the split second between the times when the game saves twice (when joining games iirc).

Ohhh the double save thing... Yeah but how likely is that??? Anyway i heard news they fixed that now on GC so its just a single save. Even so that would still cause corruption in the middle of THAT save

The double save is removed from PSO+, but not from regular Ep1&2.

Wha? why not ep. 1 & 2 as well??? The madness of it all. There i was happily playing PSO 1&2 thinking "duh its okey! No double save gitch now!" They need to make the news posts on PSO world clearer...
