Lets just hope that people get the difference between being innovative and just a novelty item, as some people thought with the DS.
As far as charging for downloads go, i had heard (Would be an ideal system!) that as you buy new games for Revolution (Selected titles), you can put the special points/VIP:24/7 points towards the cost of downloading back catalogue titles from the Revolutions Download service sort of like crossing over with the Stars Catalogue.
I'd rather just pay than have to save up points to be honest...
No... you can do both. You can either pay OR use points you have earned, if you see what i mean.
Oh right, I see. Very clever. Big Grin
I read a very recent article where nintendo of japan seemed to have admitted they will not be no.1 in the console market. But assuring that they will be going for the Quality of games instead. Admitting this and still going full steam ahead with the worldwide wi-fi infrastructure for revolution pleases me as this would indicate that the big n still want to be a part of this market.

As for software downloads looks like revolution will have at least 221 first party titles ready for d/load at launch. I did hear a rumour that rev looks likely to launch in the u.s. in march 2006 lucky us peeps Smile , not late 2006 as it first appeared, getting their units in stores before ps3 yay.Hopefully this would also indicate a mid 2006 release for europe.

Btw yes i am a screaming nintendo fanboy and have been since the n.e.s. and am not ashamed of it.
Nintendo have gone on record now to say that they're not competing with Microsoft or Sony anymore because there is no point. So instead they'll be making their own market, doing their own thing, and making the games world a better place instead of a warzone!

As for the list of all 221 games to be most likely available for download on Revolution, here it is (Cubed-3.co.uk)
*Drools on the list*
Wow, that's one impressive list - at least we know we won't get bored! Big Grin
There are some AMAZING games on that list, and many classics you know you want to relive. I know i do! Just imagine how big the list would be if other companies got on board (I.e. SEGA)?

Nintendo + SEGA = HUGE back catalogue of games (Jackpot!)
