That's a fair point. What's stopping PS3 or Xbox 360 owners from buying a Revolution as a seond console, or playing it just to see what it's like and falling in love with it? What I really hate is when people prejudge things. For example, PSP owners who say the DS is crap. Fair enough if they've played both and they have reasons. I respect that, but it's annoying when they say stuff like that without any knowlege about it? I reckon a similar thing will happen with this, too. Sad

Good Point.
The Revoltion (I have heard) Wiln be on retail for about £100-£120.

That would be amazing if it were to come out with that price tag. It would sell like sh*t of a greased stick.
I think, unfortunately it will be closer to the 200 mark what with the almost definite $249.99 us release price. Still good value when compared to box360 and the ps3.

*First and now Third party back catalogues for d/load at release*

Probabily the same things that stopped them from buying a Gamecube as a second console. Nintendo and everyone else said the samething prior to Gamecubes launch, and look where that got them. Sure they MAY have previously bought a Gamecube as a second console, but if they did, you can be sure they don't have it anymore!
Asthetically the cube looks "kiddie-like" and was poorly marketed. I believe these were two of the reasons the 'cube failed in europe.

If nintendo market the Revolution as aggressively as DS and broaden its appeal to all, then it should do ok, i hope.(Sorry, states the obvious i know) Tongue
Also Nintendo have learned a valuable lesson from xbox live i believe, and are now as we know going full-on with on-line gameplay. Something they themselves took no notice of when cube started its life. They have the support of sega for one. Can't be bad can it?
Also i Believe the ps3 will just be too expensive for too long for most people to afford. Coupled with difficult development tools and costs.(how many people and how long will it take to utilise blu-ray to its full potential? and how much will the public have to pay for the privelegde of owning a ps3 game? think about it.)

Just read on gamesradar.com that revolution will have a child-lock system that reads what rating a game is. Sounds like nintendo are gonna allow some rough software through whilst retaining a sense of responsibility allowing parents the choice over their kids gaming with this password system.
A nice marketing tool i guess.
Ive heard a lot on the revoltion but i still dont like there controlers that much...kinda wierd playing something like zelda or a 1st person shooter with that POS controler
I just found out that you can still use the gamecube controllers on the revolution for the backwards compatiblity.
Yeah, there are 4 GC controller slots on the side.
ATTN: For new Revolution news go here, remember its not all bad.

Just remember how the 'underpowered' ds is pwning the psp.
Just stating my position: Nintendo all the way!!! I won't bad-mouth it 'till I've tried it.

Thank you.
