Don't be silly! I was doing some serious speculation there! Too bad SOME people have to ruin it. Tongue
Lee-yoshi Wrote:A screen would push the cost of the console up far too much, plus the fact... it sucks! Everyone buys consoles, so they can play them on BIG screens, especially lengthy games like Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong... hmm, just about every game Nintendo makes! Tongue Also the sound would be pretty lame... infact if they put a screen on it, i would reconsider buying one, and so would just about everyone else. It'd be too big for a handheld, but too small for a home console, and doesn't fit anywhere. And don't start with the "Therefore Nintendo are making their own market like they said they would" crap, because its just crap... ooohh if i see a screen, ill scream!

IMO, the new innovative extra the Nintendo Revolution will come with is much more likely to be an in-built microwave, perfect for those long cut-scenes where you need food quickly, but you can't pause the scenes! Wink

No, Lee, the term I'd use for even suggesting this theory is 'retarded'? Yeah, that's what I was going for......To suggest that you'd take YOUR CONSOLE out of your home just to play it outside is ludicrous to the extreme. I think Nintendo is just bs'ing us. I think they're going full-on-online this time around. Remember the sales overall they lost when they told consumers they were NOT going online with the Gamecube? They were quickly second in the market when the Gamecube came out.....when that statement arose, they dropped like a rock. We already know SSB is coming online ready out of the box, for that to happen at launch, that means the servers will already be up. For it to come online out of the box, that means it has to have some form of integrated setup. FOR THAT TO HAPPEN, Nintendo is spending a lot of money in cost and development. Also, the size of the Revolution is suspicious. Mem cards are going to be a need, but just like Blue Burst perhaps, if infact, the Revolution is going to be integrated with online (If I'm wrong, I'll woefully admit it.) like I'm sure it will be, then memory could be stored server side. And since costs on the console it self is staying relatively low. (I've seen estimates saying as low as 100$, though, I'm going the 200-250$ range.) That could mean mid-high monthly costs. Yes, I know what you're going to say, 'They said we could download games for free.' Yeah, you will. NINTENDO GAMES......that will be all. Sega will be charging for sure. And any next gen game that comes out on the Rev will too, mark my words on it.

...Yeah, that was pathetic. My apologies. Wink
I just had an E-Mail from Nintendo of Europe, and OMG, seems like Yami Kami was right! Believe it or not, the Nintendo Revolutions fabulous new feature, which no other console dare come with, is... a mini-fridge!

Oooh, a cold one! Tongue
Wink Hahahaha!!!! Awsome!!! I was right!!! Big Grin
Fridge excellent Big Grin
Microwave even better Smile
Those must be the secret add-ons for the controller lol.

Okay, the screen idea went down like a tonne of s**t, but can someone explain laptop pcs to me then and their purpose lol?
I'm in no way saying this so-called huge last secret that Nintendo have up their sleeve is a screen, just a guess from me thats all. The tech is cheap(ds 2 screens 90gbp nuff said).

I'm more than happy to take it but retarded, nah.

Yes Nintendo are going full online this time, thankfully learning the lessons of the past so maybe the last secret to wow everyone will be a web browser yawn.

Lol! If they're giving out next-gen consoles with a screen the size of a Nintendo DS screen... i think they might sell 10, maybe 20 on a good year Tongue For them to make a cheap console, it wouldn't be coming with a decently sized screen that's for sure!

Anyone seen the new screen that Philips have shown off at the current big electronics show in L.A.? It's a huge touch screen that loads of people can use at the same time. That would be pretty sweet to have in there! But that kinda makes the controller redundant, which is one of the main gimmicks as it stands at the moment for the Nintendo Revolution anyways, so it's not that! Oh well Tongue

The only thing it could be is really... a mini fridge. Maybe it comes with a camera? Almost like a security system type thing! When someone else picks up your Revolution system it shouts abusive messages at them in your voice! XD
Lee-yoshi Wrote:your Revolution system

Thats spooky......Nintendo revolution system is the probable name too lol Tongue
.....obviously the screen, ahem if it exits , would be a tad bigger than a ds screen Tongue

Anyhoo, i will go with the mini-fridge for now as it definitely sounds the most user-friendly :O
A full on-line web browser sounds boring to you?.....Then you obviously didn't notice online absence in things like MKBig GrinD. Oh, that's right, your kids can play with you.....well then you have no need for online. It would be very nice if SSB came with multiplayer online, that would be cool. My brother and I could then pwn you all.... <<;
Bring it on! Tongue
I'm starting to wonder if the fridge is a joke anyomer... Wink lol
