Darkwolf30 Wrote:Bleach FTW. But Princess Monomoke wasnt that bad.

Princess Mononoke was awesome, I have it on VHS and I always watch it when I'm sick to make me feel a wee bit better Tongue.

While were talking of Miyazaki's work, Spirited Away is pretty damn good too Smile
princess mononoke was great, i think all of the ghibli movies iv seen so far have had good hearts to them, trying to give the audience a message which i very much like in anime.

azumanga is a work of genious ^^ i love how its so random... like one section, for a good 15 seconds you just watch them passing a ball to eachother then it hits one of them in the head...^^

just starting to rewatch Lastexile thats realy great to, its amazing animation and story i would realy sujest it if you havent seen.
I've been re-watching Gunslinger Girl and it's a bit better than when I first watched it. (the one I'm watching now is in Japanese with subtitles. the one I watched before was dubbed. =\)

Learn to spell "suggest", Cloud Stryder. XD (no offense)
woops.. your suggestion is noted ^^
wow i never knew so many people like princess mono...nonono.....nonono?....noke!Big Grin
Personally I though Howl's Moving Castle was a brilliant story and beautifully told. but as previously stated, it wasn't Miyazaki's story, it was originally a book by Diana Wynne Jones.

I love Princess Mononoke too, and Grave of the Fireflies was sad, but an incredible film. Very Moving.
Grave of the fireflies was a very moving film, have any of you seen "Only Yesterday" not a Miyazaki movie (i think) but was a Studio Ghibli work. its a very great story too and no dead bodys which is a plus ^^'
what actually happens in the grave of the fireflies? i've heard it makes most people depressed but if i dunno what its about then i won't know if i'll like it or not
Never seen Only Yesterday but I'll look out for it Smile

I wouldn't like to say what happens in Grave of the Fireflies on case I ruin a great film, but it's basically the story of what happens to a boy and his younger sister when Japan is being bombed. I'd definately reccomend it, but it is a very sad film.
I've not seen Only Yesterday either, but I have the DVD of it somewhere, just can't find it. I actually like Grave of the Fireflies most out of all of the Miyazaki's films I've watched. Although I really really disliked the Japanese in WWII, I still wept after watching the film. It's quite a different feeling from watching Spirited/Princess/Howl/Kiki/Castle etc.
